How it works

Trademarks, software, domains and algorithms are worth as much as the technical documentation that defends them. These mini-gigs produce the first layer of that documentation: a search, a comparison, a written analysis a lawyer can read and act on.

A mini-gig is not a sworn expert report and is not signed for filing: it is the technical analysis that tells you whether the real report is needed, before you pay for it. Some cards require coordination with a lawyer — it is printed on the card.

A mini-gig covers exactly the scope printed on the card and nothing beyond it: no additional advice, no revision rounds, no signed or sworn document. Turnaround runs from receipt of complete documentation. If the outcome calls for real work, that is a separate engagement.

Frequently asked questions

Does the document hold up in court?

A mini-gig is an unsworn technical analysis: it is for assessing the position. The full party-appointed expert report is a separate engagement.

Why do some cards require a lawyer?

Because they touch live proceedings or litigation strategy: there the expert works inside the defence line, not instead of whoever sets it.

Which registers do you work with?

EUIPO, DPMA, USPTO and UDRP are the grounds of the public cases documented in the case studies; each card states its covered scope.
